Returns and Refund Policy

At SDM , customer satisfaction is our top priority. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of generators, accessories, or any power-related equipment from our website. This Returns and Refund Policy outlines your rights and our procedures regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds.

1. Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns on most new, unused, and undamaged products within 30 days of the delivery date. To be eligible for a return:

  • The product must be in its original packaging

  • It must include all accessories, manuals, and parts

  • The item must not show signs of wear, installation, or use

  • You must provide proof of purchase (e.g., order number or receipt)

Products returned without meeting these conditions may be rejected or subject to a restocking fee (see section 6).


2. Non-Returnable Items

Certain products are not eligible for return due to safety, hygiene, or customization:

  • Opened or used generators

  • Generators that have been fueled or run

  • Electrical parts or accessories that have been installed

  • Custom-built or special order items

  • Items marked “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” on the product page


3. How to Request a Return

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Email us at contact@sdmernergy.com with:

    • Your full name

    • Order number

    • Reason for return

    • Photos (if applicable)

  2. Our customer service team will respond within 1–2 business days with instructions.

  3. If approved, you’ll receive a Return Authorization Number (RMA) and return shipping address.

⚠️ Important: Do not send your item back without receiving a Return Authorization Number. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.


4. Return Shipping

Unless the return is due to a damaged, defective, or incorrect item shipped by us, you are responsible for:

  • Return shipping costs

  • Insuring the package (we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit)

  • Ensuring the item is packaged securely


5. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will:

  • Notify you by email of the approval or rejection of your refund

  • If approved, process the refund to your original method of payment

  • Issue the refund within 5–10 business days

Refunds will not include original shipping charges unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or defective item).


6. Restocking Fee

A restocking fee of up to 20% may apply in the following situations:

  • The item was opened or installed

  • The item is not returned in its original condition

  • The return is due to buyer’s remorse or order error

We reserve the right to waive the fee on a case-by-case basis.


7. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct product exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item, return the original product following our return process and place a new order for the replacement item.


8. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective generator or accessory:

  • Report it to us within 5 days of delivery at contact@powerlig.com

  • Include photos and a description of the issue

  • We will work with you to replace the item or offer a full refund, depending on the situation

Products damaged by customer misuse or mishandling are not covered.


9. Cancellations

Orders can only be canceled before they are shipped. If your order has already been dispatched, you must follow the return process.

Please email us at contact@powerlig.com as soon as possible to cancel an order.


10. Warranty Claims

Many of our generators and parts are backed by manufacturer warranties. Warranty claims should be made directly through the manufacturer per the terms of their policy. We are happy to help facilitate this process.
