Shipping & Delivery Policy

1. Shipping Coverage

We currently ship to addresses within the continental United States (48 states). Shipping to Alaska is not available at this time.


2. Processing Time

  • Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays).

  • Orders placed after 2 PM EST may be processed on the following business day.

  • You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your order is dispatched.


3. Estimated Delivery Time

Delivery time depends on the product, size/weight, and your shipping location.

⚠️ Note: Heavy or oversized generators may ship via LTL (less-than-truckload) freight, requiring a delivery appointment and curbside drop-off.


4. Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Order weight and dimensions

  • Shipping method selected

  • Delivery destination

Occasionally, we may offer free shipping promotions on select products or order thresholds. Eligible items will be clearly marked on the product page.


5. Freight Delivery Guidelines (LTL)

Larger items such as standby generators or industrial units may ship via freight. Please note the following:

  • Delivery is curbside only unless white-glove or liftgate service is selected (additional fees may apply)

  • Someone 18 years or older must be present to accept delivery

  • Inspect all items upon arrival and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing

6. Order Tracking

Once your order ships, you’ll receive:

  • A tracking number

  • The carrier’s name (e.g., UPS, FedEx, or freight partner)

  • A link to track delivery status in real-time

You can also track your order status by logging into your PowerLig.com account or contacting customer support.


7. Shipping Delays

While we strive to meet our delivery estimates, delays may occur due to:

  • Weather conditions

  • Carrier disruptions

  • Peak demand periods

  • Inventory shortages or backorders

We are not responsible for carrier delays, but we will work with you to resolve any issues promptly.


8. Incorrect Shipping Information

It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.

If your order is delayed, misrouted, or returned due to incorrect information:

  • Additional charges may apply for reshipping

  • Refunds may be subject to restocking and shipping fees

Please double-check your shipping information before placing your order.


9. Lost or Stolen Packages

If your order shows as “Delivered” but you have not received it:

  1. Check around your delivery area (garage, porch, side door, etc.)

  2. Ask household members or neighbors

  3. Contact the shipping carrier for delivery confirmation

  4. If still unresolved, contact us at contact@sdmernergy.com

We will help initiate a carrier investigation and, if eligible, arrange a replacement or issue a refund per the carrier’s policy.


10. Damaged Items

We carefully package all shipments to prevent damage. However, if your order arrives damaged:

  • Do not install or use the item

  • Take clear photos of the packaging and damaged product

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery

  • Email contact@sdmernergy.com with your order number and photos

We will file a damage claim and arrange for a replacement, repair, or refund depending on the situation.


11. Special Delivery Requests

If you require:

  • Liftgate service

  • Scheduled delivery

  • Inside or white-glove delivery

  • Business/commercial delivery accommodations

Please contact us before or immediately after placing your order, and we will do our best to fulfill your request. Additional fees may apply.
